With compassionate guidance and patient support, I have, for over 30 years, helped adults, couples, children, and families to overcome their limitations and blocks to become broader, more fully functioning people.
My therapeutic approach is humanistic, and I view the therapeutic relationship as the most powerful and important factor in a helpful or successful therapy process. This belief is related to the significant place that Attachment Theory has in my worldview and understanding of human emotional development.
In my therapy Awareness is also seen as foundational to personal growth. I therefore focus on helping you to become aware of blind spots or ways of behaving and/or thinking that may not be serving you presently. Once these areas are identified, I will help you to try out alternate behaviors and experiment with new ways of being. This may involve processing and releasing unexpressed emotions or traumas that have been locked in your BodyMind.
All of this is held up by the understanding of the primacy of the human relationship, the “I-Thou” and an accompanying sensitivity to the grandeur of the human condition.
